Mit 19 Jahren startete ich mit einer klassische Ausbildung zum Fotografen und mit 27 Jahren habe ich dann mein Studio eröffnet und Alles fotografiert, was mir vor die Kamera kam. Meine Liebe zur Industriefotografie hat sich erst später entwickelt. Ist aber auch kein Wunder, ich lebe am Rande des Ruhrgebiets, meine Großväter waren Drahtzieher und Bergmann, vielleicht liegt da etwas in den Genen.
Meine Fotografie bringt mich in alle Industriebereiche, die es so gibt: Stahl, Maschinenbau, Chemie, Elektrotechnik, Luft-und Raumfahrt, Forschung und Medizintechnik.Ich arbeite für kleine Familienbetriebe und Mittelstand genau so gerne wie für Internationale Konzerne in Deutschland, Europa und manchmal auch etwas weiter weg.
At 27, I opened my own studio and photographed absolutely everything that came within shot. My love for industrial photography was something that developed much later. I live in Germany on the outskirts of the Ruhrgebiet, an urbanized region and a massive heavy industry hub in the mid 20th century. Maybe theres something in the family genes, as both of my grandfathers were miners and wire drawers.
My photograpy work brings me into contact with almost any industrial sector you can name: Steel working, metal processing, mechanical engineering, chemical plants, power plants, aerospace and research. I like taking photographs for smaller family-run companies as well for major corporations, in Germany, throughout the rest of Europe and occasionally further afield.
